Ledgerline is field service software for solo trades and small crews, made by the LeonLink team. It handles scheduling, estimates, invoices, card payments, a customer portal and review requests for one flat price, from $9.83 a month, with no per-user fees and no annual lock-in. It runs in the browser, installs to a phone like an app, and keeps working when the signal drops, uploading changes when the connection returns.

Long description (200 words)

Ledgerline is field service software built for one-truck shops and crews of two to five, made by the LeonLink team.

It covers the loop a small contractor actually runs: book the job, send a priced estimate for approval, invoice it, take a card payment, and give the customer a portal where they can see the next visit, approve work and pay without an app install. Review requests are built in rather than sold as an add-on.

Pricing is deliberately flat. Starter is $9.83 a month, or $29 for six months at $4.83 a month. Growth is $29.83 a month and Command is $54.50 a month. There are no per-user fees, so a helper, a sub or a family member can be added without the bill moving, and no annual contract is required. Comparable tools commonly charge per user and push annual prepay.

The web app installs to a phone home screen, works offline on a job site with no signal, and queues changes to upload automatically when coverage returns.

The maker is not a software company. Leon Tucker is a working chimney sweep in Rineyville, Kentucky, who built the tool he could not buy for himself.

Founder

Leon Tucker, founder

Leon Tucker is a chimney sweep in Rineyville, Kentucky. He built Ledgerline because he wanted the software he could not find for his own business: "I was a chimney sweep, and I wanted to build this because I wanted something like this, easy to understand upfront pricing. I don't remember all the quotes from the services I used or sought after." He still sweeps, and the product is shaped by the days he spends on ladders rather than in an office.

Available for interviews by email. Photos on request.

Story angles

The software tax on small crews. Comparable field service tools are commonly sold per user with annual prepay, which means hiring a helper raises the software bill. Ledgerline is flat and month-to-month.

Built by an operator, not a software company. A working chimney sweep wrote the tool he could not buy, including a free printable Level 1 and 2 inspection checklist.

Software that survives a dead zone. The app installs to a phone and keeps working offline, uploading changes when coverage returns, which matters on roofs and in basements.

Free tools as a front door. Five no-signup browser tools (invoice, estimate, QR code, before/after compare, inspection checklist) run entirely in the browser with nothing uploaded.
