Terms of Service
Effective October 6, 2026 · Last updated October 6, 2026
The short version. This summary is for convenience; the full terms below are what count.
- You pay a flat price per business, monthly or every 6 months. Cancel any time from Settings.
- Your business data stays yours. Export it to CSV whenever you want.
- You are responsible for how you use Ledgerline with your customers, including getting their permission before you text them.
- Card payments run through Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Kentucky law applies. Email us first if something goes wrong; most problems get fixed that way.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Leon Link ("Leon Link," "we," "us," or "our") covering your use of Ledgerline, including the website at app.leonlink.net, the Ledgerline mobile and installable apps, the customer portal, and related services (together, the "Service").
By creating a workspace, logging in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business, and "you" means that business. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is a business tool. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a workspace.
2. Who we are
Ledgerline is a Leon Link product, built and run from Rineyville, Kentucky, USA. You can reach us at info@leonlink.net.
3. Accounts and workspaces
- Your workspace. A workspace belongs to one business. The person who creates it is the owner and controls billing, team access and data exports.
- Accurate information. Give us accurate details, including a working email address, and keep them current. We use that email for password resets, billing and important notices.
- Security. Keep your password private and use a strong one. You are responsible for everything that happens under your workspace, including actions by team members you add. Tell us right away at info@leonlink.net if you think your account has been compromised.
- Team members. You may add crew members and set their access level. You are responsible for their use of the Service and for removing access when someone leaves.
- The public demo. The demo at demo.leonlink.net is shared and public. Do not enter real customer information, real card details or anything confidential into it. Demo data may be reset or deleted at any time.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
- Free workspace. You can create a workspace and look around without a card. Some features need a paid plan.
- Paid plans. Current plans and prices are shown in the app and at app.leonlink.net/what-you-get. Prices are a flat amount per business, not per user, and are in U.S. dollars.
- Billing periods. You can pay month to month or prepay for 6 months. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price for your plan and billing period, until you cancel.
- Payment. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and we may pause or downgrade paid features until it is resolved.
- Taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any applicable sales, use or similar taxes, which may be added at checkout.
- Price changes. We may change prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a price increase affects you, and it will apply from your next billing period after the notice. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
- Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel any time in Settings → Manage billing. Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Your data
- You own it. The customer records, jobs, estimates, invoices, photos, messages and other information you or your team put into the Service ("Your Data") belong to you. We claim no ownership of it.
- Our limited license. You give us permission to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display Your Data only as needed to run, secure, support and improve the Service for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Data, and we do not use your customers' contact details to market to them.
- Your customers' information. When you store information about your own customers, you are responsible for having the right to collect and use it, and for following the privacy laws that apply to your business. We process that information on your behalf and under your instructions.
- Export. You can export your customers, jobs, invoices and estimates to CSV from Settings at any time, including after you cancel and while your data is retained.
- Backups are your job too. We take reasonable steps to protect Your Data, but no system is perfect. Export your data regularly, and keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
- Deletion. Data retention and deletion are explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Card payments to your business
Ledgerline can let your customers pay your invoices by card through Stripe. When you connect your own Stripe account or keys:
- Your relationship with Stripe is governed by Stripe's own terms, including the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe, not Leon Link, processes those payments. We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Leon Link is not a party to transactions between you and your customers. You are responsible for your prices, the work you do, receipts, taxes, refunds, disputes and chargebacks with your customers.
- Stripe charges its own processing fees. Leon Link does not add a fee on top of payments your customers make to you unless your plan clearly says otherwise.
- Keep your Stripe keys secure and remove them from Ledgerline if you stop using that Stripe account.
7. SMS and email messaging
Ledgerline can send texts and emails for your business, such as appointment reminders, estimates, invoices, portal links and review requests. Texts are sent through Twilio and email through Resend.
Your responsibilities as the sender
- You must have each recipient's permission before you text them, and you must follow all laws and carrier rules that apply to your messages. In the U.S. that includes the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, and CTIA and carrier messaging guidelines.
- Use Ledgerline messaging only for messages related to your customer's job, appointment, estimate, invoice or account, and for review requests to customers you have served. Do not use it for cold outreach, marketing blasts, purchased lists or anyone who has not done business with you.
- Respect opt-outs right away. If someone asks you to stop texting them, do not message them again through Ledgerline or any other way that breaks the law.
- You are responsible for the content of messages you send and for any claims that come from them.
For people who receive texts sent through Ledgerline
- Texts come from the business you hired or asked for a quote, sent using Ledgerline. Message frequency varies with your appointments and jobs.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email info@leonlink.net.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your mobile number and text consent are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
We may limit, pause or block messaging from a workspace that receives complaints, has high opt-out or error rates, or appears to break these Terms or the law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to let anyone else:
- break any law or anyone else's rights, including privacy, consumer protection, anti-spam and intellectual property rights;
- send spam, phishing, harassing, threatening, hateful, deceptive or illegal content;
- upload malware or anything meant to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service or anyone's data;
- probe, scan or test the Service's security, or get around any limit or access control, without our written permission;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows;
- store payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, health records or similarly sensitive data in free-text fields, notes or uploads;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your business, licensing or the work you did;
- overload the Service, such as with automated requests at a volume a normal business would not generate.
9. Review requests
Ledgerline's review tools are built to follow Google's review policies and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 465). You agree not to use them to buy or pay for reviews, offer incentives that depend on what someone says in a review, post or ask for fake reviews, or suppress negative reviews. You are responsible for following the rules of every review platform you use.
10. Our software and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the Ledgerline and Leon Link names, belongs to Leon Link and is protected by law. As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes. All rights we do not expressly grant are reserved.
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you or owing you anything.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on and links to third-party services, including Stripe (payments), Twilio (texts), Resend (email), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (hosting) and Google (for example, review links). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or anything they do with information you give them directly.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep Ledgerline running and fast, but we do not promise it will be available all the time or free of errors. We may do maintenance, and outages can happen, including outages caused by our providers. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a core feature of a paid plan in a way that materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you, and you can cancel and ask for a prorated refund of the unused part of your current billing period.
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or is needed to address security or abuse sooner. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
13. Cancellation and termination
- By you. You can cancel your subscription any time in Settings → Manage billing. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have paid for. Then your workspace reverts to the free workspace, or closes if you ask us to delete it.
- By us. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your use creates legal risk or harm for us, our providers or others, if you do not pay, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid, unused fees.
- After termination. Sections 5 (export and deletion), 6, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 survive.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Leon Link disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that data will never be lost. Ledgerline is a tool for running your business. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Check estimates, invoices, tax amounts and reports yourself. Some states do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Leon Link will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for all claims related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) $100. These limits apply to every theory of liability, including contract, tort (including negligence) and statute. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Leon Link and its owner, contractors and providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, fines and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: Your Data; messages you send through the Service, including any TCPA or anti-spam claim; your work, products or services and your dealings with your customers; or your violation of these Terms or the law.
17. Governing law and disputes
- Talk to us first. Before you file any claim, email info@leonlink.net with a description of the problem, and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Where disputes are heard. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be heard only in the state courts located in Hardin County, Kentucky, or the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
- Individual claims only. To the extent the law allows, disputes are resolved individually, not as part of a class, consolidated or representative action.
- Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.
18. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect, and the unenforceable part is changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right right away, we have not given it up.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, and we will notify you if that happens.
- Force majeure. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet outages, provider failures, labor disputes or government action.
- Notices. We send notices to your workspace's email address or show them in the app. You can send notices to info@leonlink.net.
- Electronic communications. You agree that agreements, notices and other communications we provide electronically meet any legal requirement that they be in writing.
